Next weekend, Apple will be bringing up its official Apple Store count in China to eleven. The Cupertino-based company will be opening up a new store at the Paradise Walk mall in the Jiangbei District of Chongqing on Saturday, July 26th. The official announcement was made on Apple’s retail website:
The store will open up at 10 AM local time. Apple began teasing the new store with a colorful banner last week. Like other Apple Store locations, the front exterior of the store appears to be mostly glass. This particular store will be fitting into the atmosphere by way of stone accents on the sides, bottom, and top of the front.
This store comes ahead of Apple opening up several other stores in China throughout the rest of 2014 and into 2015. We previously detailed that Apple also plans to launch locations in Shenyang, Central Hangzhou, East Hangzhou, and East Chengdu. Apple Senior Vice President of Angela Ahrendts is leading a bigger push into China, and sources say that Ahrendts plans to not only tailor the China-based stores for Chinese consumers, but also stores in other parts of the world.
