Well, finally Apple fans can have a breath of respite. They can now pre-order the new iPhone XR. Last month Apple released its 2018 line-up of iPhones. Out of which iPhone XR was center of many discussions and debates. Now, the Apple iPhone XR pre-order begins, but currently, only members with the upgrade program can order it.

If you are a part of the Upgrade Program,  you can simply use the Store app for the pre-approval application. Also, the pre-order for upgrade program members will be open until 4 PM Pacific Time this Thursday which is the 18th October.

Last month all the new iPhones were launched. However, only iPhone XS and XS Max are now on sale. iPhone XR had production issues, so it was slated for October pre-order and sales. After the unveiling, it was revealed that iPhone XR has not yet received the FCC accreditation. After one week of the unveiling event, iPhone XR received the FCC certification.

iPhone XR brings LCD display of 6.1-inch which the apple likes to call Liquid Retina Display. The OEM ditches the 3-D Touch on this device and replaces it with the Haptic Touch Engine. However, it comes with other features like Tap to Awake, truetone display, wide color support. iPhone XR runs on the A12 Bionic chip the same as iPhone XS and XS Max with iOS 12 on-board. According to certain regulatory filings, iPhone XR has 3 GB of RAM and a battery of 2,942 mAH. It has a single lens rear camera which is of 12 MP and supports wide-angle shot with advanced bokeh, portrait mode, and OIS. The camera also supports the true-tone LED flash.

The iPhone XR comes in five new color variants. Apart from the regular black and white finishes, new color variants such as blue, red, yellow and coral are also available.

So, if you have upgrade program membership and you’re eligible, then go pre-order your unit now. This way you will avoid the website traffic later when the Apple iPhone XR pre-order begins for other regular buyers.
